The Denver Broncos chose to use their first-round pick on former Alabama wideout Jerry Jeudy. They saw their competitors (Chargers, Raiders) pick offense and followed suit. This was a fantastic pick for the Broncos arming Drew Lock with another quality receiver. They’ll still be pursuing the Chiefs, but this addition will certainly help.
Jeudy could end up being the best receiver in the 2020 class. His former teammate, Henry Ruggs III, was selected just a few picks prior. The Broncos addressed a need by adding Jeudy with a developing Lock ready to use his weapons. Broncos fans were used to the likes of Emmanuel Sanders putting up big numbers. Jeudy is bigger and will fill that role on the field.
Denver will likely be targeting additions to the offensive line, or look at a defensive end position next in the draft. They will certainly finish the upcoming season better than last year, where they held the motto “World of Suck” for much of the season.
