The Los Angeles Chargers made the move and selected their next franchise QB by drafting Justin Herbert. It’s difficult to try and find a replacement for a guy like Philip Rivers, but Herbert brings the best chance.
Herbert didn’t lead Oregon to a National title game, but he does possess a dual-threat capability. Herbert also had the option to go pro after his junior year but stayed and improved his stock.
The best part about this is Herbert’s family and numerous fans are just up the highway up in Oregon. Chargers fans have been on the fence since the move from San Diego, but they’ll be gaining a lot more fans geographically, which will help the franchise continue to grow.
